Lavrov vs. McCain: Is Russia an Enemy? by Pat Buchanan

“In the new struggle for the world, Russia and the U.S. are natural allies not natural enemies.”
The founding fathers of the Munich Security Conference, said John McCain, would be “be alarmed by the turning away from universal values and toward old ties of blood, and race, and sectarianism.”
McCain was followed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov who called for a “post-West world order.” Russia has “immense potential” for that said Lavrov, “we’re open for that inasmuch as the U.S. is open.”
Now McCain is not wrong. Nationalism is an idea whose time has come again. Those “old ties of blood, and race, and sectarianism” do seem everywhere ascendant. But that is a reality we must recognize and deal with. Deploring it will not make it go away.
But what are these “universal values” McCain is talking about?
Democracy? The free elections in India gave power to Hindu nationalists. In Palestine, Hamas. In Lebanon, Hezbollah. In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood, then overthrown in a military coup welcomed by the world’s oldest and greatest democracy. Have we forgotten it was a democratically elected government we helped to overthrow in Kiev?
Democracy is a bus you get off when it reaches your stop, says Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, autocrat of Ankara, a NATO ally.

Tucker Carlson Induces Cognitive Dissonance in Bill Nye the Science Guy over Climate Change

Here is the best (and weirdest) example of cognitive dissonance you will ever see. The set-up is that Bill Nye, an engineer by training, and a proponent of science, is defending climate science on Tucker’s show.
The first weird thing is that Bill Nye starts by talking about cognitive dissonance being the only reason that anyone would be skeptical of global warming. But he seems to not understand the concept of cognitive dissonance because he believes only the other side could be experiencing it. The nature of cognitive dissonance is that you don’t know you’re in it when you’re in it. It is only obvious to observers. If Nye had been objective, he would have noted two equal possibilities: Either the skeptics are experiencing cognitive dissonance or the proponents of climate science are experiencing it. But whoever is in it can’t know. It is only obvious to the other side. That’s how it works.
Yes, I do the same thing all the time. I call out my critics for being in cognitive dissonance and act as if the problem couldn’t be on my end. But in my case, the context is usually that I’m teaching you how to spot it. And I also talk about the specific triggers and “tells” so you can check my work. This video has a clear trigger and an enormous tell. Best example you will ever see.
The set-up for the trigger is that Nye’s self-image is that of a rational supporter of science with a command of the facts about climate science. He has made a career recently of defending science, and climate science in particular. Nye’s ego depends on being consistent with his pro-science, rational stance. That’s who he is.
Tucker then asked Nye a simple question about climate science. He asked how much of the warming is caused by human activity. Nye’s entire ego depended on knowing whether human activity is contributing to climate change in a big way, a medium way, or a small way. Tucker wanted some details. How much difference do humans make? After all, Nye had said this was settled science. Tucker just wanted to know what that settled science said.

EXCLUSIVE: UC Berkeley and City Officials Had Warning Anti-Milo Protests Could Spiral Out of Control

In the wake of rioting at UC Berkeley earlier this month that resulted in multiple assaults and caused up to $100,000 in property damage, the college said the events took them by surprise. They asserted that the violent protests—sparked by an appearance by conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos—weren’t something that they ever could have anticipated.
But emails between the college and officials with the city of Berkeley’s Mayoral Office seem to contradict that notion. The emails, acquired by Heat Street through the California Public Records Act, show that UC Berkeley had actually written to city officials in the days leading up to the event warning about the possibility of large numbers of “off campus protesters” and the potential for the protests to “spill over into adjacent streets and neighborhood.”
In addition, the emails also reveal that an anarchist group that has claimed responsibility for sparking the chaos emailed city officials more than a week before the event to inform them that they were planning to “defend” the college from hate speech.

Oh ma’ achin’ sides!!! Anti-immigrant protests in South Africa

You know, these days it's almost possible to feel a little sorry for the legacy media, die Lugenpresse. Take theGuardian (yes, please do). Its obese shrieking lesbians and their wispy-bearded virtue-signalling "male" counterparts can feel power slipping from the oily grasp. Already reeling from Trump and Brexit, their readership and credibility plummet while financial losses soar. Reality smacks them in the face every day and watching them pull their own teeth out is such fun. Take this Gruaniad report from South Africa where that country's African population riot against illegal immigration from other parts of Africa.

South African police have used stun grenades, rubber bullets and water cannon to try to disperse anti-immigration protesters in the capital, Pretoria, and keep them from foreign nationals who had gathered to express alarm about recent attacks.

This is beyond horrific!
KSTP-TV reports that a female resident, who understandably remains anonymous for her protection, told the network that she and other locals were attacked by a mob of up to 30 Somali Muslim men on June 28.
Police were called to the scene at around 9:30 a.m. after the mob of migrants showed up in front of citizens’ homes, yelling threatening comments and promising terrorist activity.
“They were screaming at the house that they were going to kidnap you and they were going to rape you,” one Minneapolis resident told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS. “It was a very traumatizing experience.”

How I Saw the Light About Race (Part VIII)

Stories of people who could no longer lie about the racial realities around them.
K.T.P., Illinois:
I attended high school in Galesburg, Illinois, from 1966 to 1969. We weren’t “integrated” by government order since everyone, except those in Catholic school, went to the one public school, which was 10 percent black.
There was the usual black behavior—cutting into the front of the lunch line, running the halls like escaped chimps, and sexually harassing white girls.
Things escalated to the boiling point for whites when three soul brothers ganged up on the smallest kid in our class, beating him and breaking his nose.
I called a meeting of the white students at the local hangout, where I urged them to dress in white clothing to show our unity and our disgust with black behavior.
The next morning I was amazed at how the word had spread and how many kids were dressed in white. The blacks walked out of school, to our delight.
My awakening continued in college, where blacks rioted until the National Guard arrived. Whites stood cheering when the buses drove up
My racial awareness became complete as I studied the speeches and writings of Dr. Revilo Oliver and the monumental work by Mr. Wilmot Robertson, The Dispossessed Majority. I have never looked at race the same since.

Transgender Boy Wins Texas State Girls’ Wrestling Title

https://twitter.com/AP_Sports/status/835661692147236865

Mack Beggs, a 17-year-old junior, began the transition from girl to boy two years ago; the transition includes supplements and shots of testosterone that some feel gave Beggs an advantage.  Beggs competed for and won a Texas state girls’ wrestling title.
Booed and bloody, Mack Beggs dropped to his knees to celebrate. He was, after four wins and two days and all the rest, a state champion.
In a 12-2 victory against Chelsea Sanchez in the 110-pound classification, Beggs ended a highly controversial and dramatic weekend by becoming the first transgender participant to win a Class 6A girls’ state championship in Texas high school wrestling.
“I just witnessed my sport change,” a longtime Texas wrestling coach said moments after Beggs, a 17-year-old junior at Trinity High in Euless whose transition from girl to boy began two years ago and now includes testosterone injections, won a championship. The victory was seen as equal parts unavoidable — quick and noticeably strong, he entered the tournament unbeaten in 52 matches against girls — and contentious. The University Interscholastic League, which oversees sports in Texas public schools, ordered Beggs to continue competing in the girls’ division despite heavy uproar and a lawsuit earlier this month in a Travis County district court.

Beggs had requested to wrestle against boys instead of girls, but this request was denied.

Interesting Week for Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump by THE SAKER

shutterstock_514787815
Putin’s latest move
I don’t follow the western corporate media so I don’t really know how much coverage this development has received in the West, but in Russia and the Ukraine the big news is the decision by Russia to begin recognizing official Novorussian documents such as passports, driver licenses, school and college diplomas, etc. The Russians were pretty specific in the way the made the announcement. They said that it was a temporary measure dictated by humanitarian considerations. They have a point. Until now, the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had to travel to the Nazi-occupied Ukraine to try to get their documents. Which, considering how the Ukronazis consider anybody from the Donbass was not only futile, but sometimes dangerous. This decision makes perfect sense practically. But, of course, it has a far-reaching symbolic dimension too. The timing is also crucial: by recognizing the documents issued by the DNR and LNR authorities, the Russians have de facto “semi-recognized” the authorities which issued them and that is just a fairly short step away from recognizing these republics.
Right now, the Kremlin is vehemently denying any such thoughts. But all the Kremlin-affiliated commentators are rather blunt about what this really means. According to them, the message for the junta in Kiev is simple: if you attack Novorussia or if you officially ditch the Minks agreements we will immediately recognize these two republics. And, once that happens, it’s over for the Ukronazis, these republics will be gone just like South Ossetia or Abkhazia. Of course, nobody will officially recognize the independence of these republics, but neither will anybody do anything meaningful about it. And, let’s be honest, the Russian authorities couldn’t care less about what western politicians or their corporate media have to say: they already heard it all and it’s not like they could be demonized much futher.

Blacks, Jews, and liberals think whites are more intelligent than blacks

Since 2000 the GSS has asked respondents, broken down by race, if whites and if blacks "tend to be unintelligent or tend to be intelligent", with answers on a 7-point scale, the higher the score the more intelligent the group is perceived to be. Because both questions have been paired every year they've been asked, the same respondents are opining on the perceived intelligence of both whites and blacks.

Every racial grouping, including blacks, perceives whites to be more intelligent than they perceive blacks to be. This holds for both men and women, liberals and conservatives, the young and the old. The differences are a matter of degree, not direction.

The following graph shows how much of an intelligence advantage whites are perceived to have over blacks by the race (and other selected characteristics) of those assessing the intelligence of each. A standard deviation is just over one point on the scale, so you'll notice that the perceived racial gap isn't as large as the fundamental law of sociology reveals it to be, but a perceived gap does indeed exist (n = 11,419):

Pics from Fukushima robots not enough to devise fuel-removal plan for reactor 2: Tepco

While a recent investigation found what may be melted nuclear fuel rods in reactor No. 2 containment vessel at the Fukushima No. 1 plant, that information isn’t nearly enough to devise an effective method for removing it, the chief of the plant told reporters during a media tour Thursday.
“We put in cameras and robots and obtained valuable images, though they were partial . . . but it’s still unclear what is really going on there,” said Shunji Uchida, who became chief of the crippled plant last July. “We first need to know the situation of the debris.”
Last month, the utility inserted a 10.5-meter rod with a camera on its tip into a hole in the No. 2 reactor’s primary containment vessel and discovered black lumps sticking to the grating directly underneath the suspended pressure vessel, which holds the core.
Tepco claims it is still unsure whether the lumps are really melted fuel that burned through the bottom of the pressure vessel. Although it is still years away from actually trying to remove the fuel, Tepco, the government and related parties are planning to decide on a basic strategy this summer and go into more detail next year.

Wimpy Professors Are the Culprits by ROBERT WEISSBERG

shutterstock_582650872
No matter how you slice or dice it, today’s universities, particularly in the humanities and social sciences, are intellectual wastelands often more committed to propagating the Leftist faith than knowledge. The campus vocabulary says it all: trigger warnings, safe spaces, micro-aggressions, social justice warriors, cultural appropriation, speech codes, and disinviting –while many instructors are obsessed with the Procrustean bed of race, class and gender. Further add the well-paid diversity and inclusion apparatchiki, ever-expanding definitions of sexual harassment and Stalinist measures to impose gender equality and on and on.
Conceivably, as the stench may become unbearable a distinguished board of inquiry will try to explain this debacle mess and there will be no shortage of possible culprits. Fortunately, no need to wait decades for the verdict—the faculty was responsible even if they did not personally inflict the evils. More precisely, all of this happened thanks to cowardly professors, nearly all of whom enjoyed tenure, saw the disaster in the making, and all could have helped strangle the evil it in the cradle.
The accused professors will naturally offer the time-honored defenses —I had no idea what was happening, I myself was unable to stop it, I remained silent in order to hide two white male libertarians in my basement, or I was only following orders from administrators. Lies, all lies and I’d bet my last dollar that every academic on today’s campus knows these excuses to be bogus.
This is a serious indictment so let me first explain how professors could have successfully resisted the barbarians. Begin with the obvious—preventing academically weak affirmative action admittees from dumbing down the classroom (and, for good measures, serving as useful idiots in campus demonstrations). Yes, professors cannot dictate admission policy but they have absolute power to flunk dummies (regardless of race or sex) and, no doubt, after a point the Office of Admission social engineers would realize that it’s pointless to lower standards if dimwits quickly flunk out despite all the tutoring and remedial courses. Ditto for the hiring and firing of colleagues– complain all you want about wild-eyed feminists, but these ideologues were mostly hired by white male professors who knew what they were getting and, for good measures, these allegedly “blameless” academics awarded them tenure, signed off on sabbaticals and authorized research funds for released time to write yet more rants masquerading as scholarship.

The Political Assassination of Milo Yiannopoulos By Reinhard Wolff

The Political Assassination of Milo Yiannopoulos
Milo is having a rough week.
First, we saw Milo disinvited from CPAC on Monday after his comments on pederasty were called into question. This lead to Simon & Schuster cancelling its book deal with the eccentric journalist. Then, on Tuesday, Milo resigned as editor-in-chief of Breitbart, leaving him with a very uncertain future.
Milo’s unique blend of Trump Republicanism and homosexual vulgarity led to him being perhaps the first person ever to be despised by mainstream conservatives, the entire Left, the mainstream media, and the Alt-Right.
Many in the Alt-Right have been ecstatic to see the self-described “dangerous faggot” fall from grace. However, that our enemies are also ecstatic about this should be cause for concern.

Estonia - Patriotism vs. Nationalism

US vs Iran: a case of rotten apples vs rotten oranges by Anwar Khan

I was reading a recent article by our most esteemed Saker, “US vs Iran – a war of apples vs oranges”, which examined the potential outcomes and scenarios that a war between Iran and US could create. Once again I felt being enlightened by the brilliant military analysis— the kind that only the Saker can provide. Only someone more knowledgeable in military affairs than him can really find an issue with his analysis. But that was until the Saker added an opinion on a religious issue, and suddenly made the article look a little more biased than it should have been, with the usual lionization of Iran and Shias appeared, a common feature now in Russo-Centric political commentary. He said:
Most Iranian are Shia, that is well known. But what is less well-known is one of the key motto’s of the Shia which, I believe, beautifully expresses one of the key features of the Shia ethos, is: “Every day is Ashura and every land is Karbala”. It basically expresses the willingness to die for the truth at any time and in any place. Millions of Iranians, even those not necessarily very pious, have been raised with this determination to fight and resist, at any cost.(1) (End quote)
Before moving forward, let me clarify here, in no uncertain terms, that this bias is not a crime. We are all biased in some capacity in our perceptions. It cannot possibly be avoided at all times, or even most times. A Russo-centric worldview of contemporary times naturally inhibit a soft spot for Iran as it is seen as an important ally in the Russian efforts to challenge the Uni-polar Anglo-Zionist paradigm. Civilizational parallels between Russia and Iran are also often invoked, though they seem to be of secondary consideration. This is understandable. But what this embrace of Iran by Russo-Centric analysts have done is to (a) promote Iran as this passive political entity trying to peacefully live in a very difficult neighborhood, and overlooking many of Iran related excesses on the sectarian and political front, and (b) conveniently glossing over voices within the Shia community, which offer a much more nuanced view to the algorithm of being than we are led to belief. This, I believe, will not serve us with the complete picture of reality, even if its subscriber hold it to be sufficiently useful as a paradigm. This defensive posture on Iran, without taking into consideration many problems associated with Iranian politics, is also making Russo-centric analysis a little too predictable, and lacking depth.
I am not suggesting that the Saker is consciously peddling (a) and (b). In fact, time and again he has prefaced his writings with disclaimers that he does not hold the Iranian state to be perfect. But nonetheless, the thinly veiled soft spot for Iran shows up in his analysis, and does raise some questions on his objectivity. The folks over at the Soul of the East have gone as further as seeking a metaphysical bond between the Shia and Orthodox ethos, the embodiment of that being, according to them, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein at Karbala.(2) While the last point is beyond the scope of this writing, let us briefly examine points (a) and (b), and see how they fare to the often invoked but little understood Everyday is Ashura and every land is Karbala, or “the willingness to die for the truth at any time and any place”.

STOKE: THE PEOPLE VS THE POLITICAL CLASS

Stoke: the people vs the political class
"They’ve taken a stand against the establishment by voting for Brexit, and clearly I’m the anti-establishment candidate, because if I win here it will shake politics to its foundations." So says UKIP leader and candidate for the Stoke Central by-election, Paul Nuttall, as he canvasses for votes in the city’s Bentilee suburb.
It’s a sleepy Sunday afternoon, and most people have just finished their weekly roast – ‘the perfect time for canvassing’, Nuttall’s press officer says. Nuttall has been ambling up a residential street, maintaining a firm distance from the enthusiastic UKIP staffer and two bodyguards pacing behind. Given I passed hardly anyone while walking from Stoke-on-Trent railway station to Hanley in the city centre, it’s hard to know who would bother Nuttall, or even recognise him.
The only evidence that Stoke is on the cusp of a pivotal by-election appears on the front pages of some discarded newspapers lying desolately next to a boarded-up shop. It seems only a handful of homes have party placards in their windows. The energised chatter across the country caused by Labour MP Tristram Hunt’s resignation doesn’t appear to have penetrated into the Potteries.
Given Nuttall will have to upend Stoke Central’s history of low voter turnout in order to win, it remains to be seen if he can really deliver. When former Labour MP Mark Fisher held Stoke Central in 2001, the proportion of people who came out to vote dropped from 62.8 per cent to 47.4 per cent. In the 2015 General Election, which saw Hunt re-elected, only 49.5 per cent cast their ballots – the lowest turnout in the country.

Undocumented Irrigation - Steve Sailer

The ongoing Oroville Dam crisis has received modest national attention, in part because the press hasn’t figured out how to blame it on Trump. Moreover, attributing the surfeit of water to global warming, the only other respectable choice, seems inane.
But the history of California water projects is worth considering in some depth. The struggles over California infrastructure—not only physical edifices but also the tremendously influential 1974 movie Chinatown—have played a central role in some of the bigger changes in public and elite attitudes.
California led the way into big-government modernism by building dams for the masses, then into postmodernist disdain for the palpable. The main constant has been that everything gets more expensive.
Without massive infrastructure to store and move water, California (current population: 39 million) wouldn’t support a sizable population. In 1846, the number of Spanish-speakers in Alta California was likely under 10,000.
Enterprising American settlers quickly began to exploit the ample water that falls, erratically, on the mountains of the northern half of the state. Eventually, this led to the beginnings of a backlash: The city of San Francisco damming and inundating the magnificent Hetch-Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park was key to the rise of the Sierra Club in the early 1900s.
Southern California, however, required even larger investments to obtain water. Three vast 20th-century aqueduct projects made possible the tremendous growth of Southern California’s population: the Owens Valley Aqueduct, the Colorado River Aqueduct, and, finally, the State Water Project of Gov. Pat Brown (current governor Jerry Brown’s dad), of which the threatened Oroville Dam was the centerpiece.

Focus Robots poised to take over wide range of military jobs

Henrik Christensen, director of UC San Diego's Contextual Robotics Institute.
The wave of automation that swept away tens of thousands of American manufacturing and office jobs during the past two decades is now washing over the armed forces, putting both rear-echelon and front-line positions in jeopardy.
“Just as in the civilian economy, automation will likely have a big impact on military organizations in logistics and manufacturing,” said Michael Horowitz, a University of Pennsylvania professor and one of the globe’s foremost experts on weaponized robots.
“The U.S. military is very likely to pursue forms of automation that reduce ‘back-office’ costs over time, as well as remove soldiers from non-combat deployments where they might face risk from adversaries on fluid battlefields, such as in transportation.”
Driver-less vehicles poised to take taxi, train and truck driver jobs in the civilian sector also could nab many combat-support slots in the Army.
Warehouse robots that scoot goods to delivery vans could run the same chores inside Air Force ordnance and supply units.
New machines that can scan, collate and analyze hundreds of thousands of pages of legal documents in a day might outperform Navy legal researchers.
Nurses, physicians and corpsmen could face competition from computers designed to diagnose diseases and assist in the operating room..
Frogmen might no longer need to rip out sea mines by hand — robots could do that for them.
“Robots will continue to replace the dirty, dull and dangerous jobs, and this will affect typically more uneducated and unskilled workers,” said Henrik Christensen, director of the Institute for Contextual Robotics at UC San Diego. “You need to look at the mundane things. Logistics tasks will not be solved by people driving around in trucks. Instead, you will have fewer drivers. The lead driver in a convoy might be human, but every truck following behind will not be. The jobs that are the most boring will be the ones that get replaced because they’re the easiest to automate.”

University Bubble 99 - Remedial Global Financial Stupidity at the U

First off readers, this post is a prerequisite for the understanding of University Bubble 101. If you mistakenly read that post before this one, you must:

a) Report to the adviser for Global Financial Stupidity Studies, get a signature, and bring that paperwork over to the registration building to sign back up and pay your fees again (not to worry, it will all get lumped onto your school loans - no hassle for you).

b) You may "test" out of this remedial level course by showing proof to the Dean of the College of Global Financial Stupidity that you have perused and commented on ZeroHedge for the last 3 semesters. You WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT for the course, if you have not used the phrase "Gold, bitchez" at least on one occasion. There are NO EXCEPTIONS."

OK, housekeeping aside now, let's start by saying that the University Bubble 101 post was premature. I understand that the reader may wonder how this writer made a simple financial dealing at the local restaurant into a BIG FINANCIAL BUBBLE. Let's give some background in this post then.

The higher education business is different from most big business for a number of reasons. The first is that it is not clear who is the real consumer - sure students pay tuition and expect a service out of that, but the state government chips in a significant share for many colleges. The idea is was that the entire state will benefit if the population is educated; they'll be more doctors, engineers, scientists, etc that, in the old days, would most likely stay in state and improve the economy and the quality of life in the state. Even in the case of humanities majors, the point was that a portion of well-educated people would benefit the state. This was the reason in-state tuition used to be set at very low rates vs. tuition for outsiders, not to mention foreigners. This entire concept doesn't seem to mean much anymore, as people in general are very mobile, and a significant portion of the students in a given college may be from out-of-state and out-of-country (these days), but also the chance of the graduates remaining in the state are also much smaller than in the past.

In the case of private colleges, there are donors who really want the type of learning that goes on there to continue. It was somewhat more of a free market, as, before recently when the loan-bubble ramped up, tuition would be what the market for this sort of thing would bear on the part of the students.

Science and Status Tom Wolfe highlights the shabby treatment of two underappreciated intellectuals. By DANIEL J. FLYNN

Tom Wolfe wrote a book ostensibly about science that reads as one on snobbery. The Kingdom of Speech offers not one but two haughty villains in Charles Darwin and Noam Chomsky. Alfred Russel Wallace and Dan Everett, unheralded but quite accomplished, play the humble heroes.
In 1858, Darwin received a manuscript from Wallace detailing the latter’s theory of evolution by natural selection. Darwin maintained that the same idea had occurred to him more than two decades earlier. Wallace, a man who dropped out of school at 14 and sold exotic fly specimens to subsidize his scientific endeavors, lacked the prestige of his correspondent. So, when the English gentleman forwarded his own ideas on evolution, coincidentally similar to Wallace’s, along with his pen pal’s manuscript to London’s Linnean Society, the group read the papers aloud (Darwin first!) and the scientific world gave the established man of letters in London, rather than the “flycatcher” in the Malaysian Archipelago, the credit. “To put the matter in perspective,” Wolfe writes, “one has only to imagine what would have happened had the roles been reversed. Suppose Darwin is the one who has just written a formal twenty-page scientific treatise for publication … and somehow Wallace got his hands on it ahead of time … and announces that he made this same astounding epochal discovery twenty-one years ago but never got around to writing it up and claiming priority … a horse laugh?”
Darwin’s private writings predating Wallace’s papers show a similarity in thinking, so perhaps Wolfe acts somewhat uncharitably toward Darwin here. But this does not negate his larger point of history’s ingratitude toward Wallace. As it turned out, Darwin became famous and Wallace a footnote.

Trump Presidency Predicted To End Very Soon

Trump’s term will last less than 200 days—the second shortest ever. He will be replaced by Vice President Mike Pence.
The news of the forced resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, due to the scandal that he, as a private citizen, spoke to the Russian ambassador in December after President Barack Obama issued sanctions on Russia for their aggressive behavior, has rocked the Donald Trump Presidency.

Trump, already under fire by many conservatives and Republicans for his “bromance” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, is suspect as to his loyalty to traditional American foreign policy, as a result of him having hired Flynn in the first place. Critics had observed that Flynn seemed unreliable and had poor judgment. Former colleagues darkly joked that there were “Flynn facts,” a reference to his penchant for making up stuff. Flynn had also been criticized for being too close to Putin. At the Republican convention he joined in a chorus of “Lock her up,” a reference to Hillary Clinton.

Many foreign policy professionals are shaking their head at Trump’s inappropriate behavior and language every time he speaks in public, or issues a Twitter comment, and his instability and recklessness. His having a security meeting over the North Korean missile test in public space at dinner in full vision of other guests is a sign of his failure to act responsibly. His abrupt ending of a phone call to the Australian Prime Minister, our loyal ally in four wars in the past hundred years, is alarming. His inconsistent message in his dealings with China, first indicating he accepted the idea of two Chinas, and then backing off under pressure, is disturbing. His inconsistency on the two-state solution in the Middle East is a major problem, as is his seeming lack of respect for Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, and lack of strong support for NATO.

Mike Moore’s flabby mug always looks indecently exposed, like middle-aged female genitalia. The fat slob could lead the old hags’ march without the pink pussyhat. Just his own visage would suffice. He is actually similar to George Soros: the same obscene pussyface. For me, his appearance would doom him: like Oscar Wilde, I believe that ugly creatures are immoral as well. It’s enough to look at Madeleine Albright, another pussyface, for a proof. But if you need more, his Stupid White Menhas been the most execrable book produced in the US in this century: there he claimed that were 9/11 passengers black, the hijack would never have succeeded. Now the Pussyface bared the hidden plans of Putin and called for enthroninge Clinton because Trump is a Russian spy. Years ago he spoke against the Iraq War; now he calls for the nuclear Armageddon. With such enemies, we should not give up on Trump.
Trump is down, cry the fans and haters alike. He’s been defeated, broken, never to rise again. He is a lame duck soon to be impeached. He will crawl back to his golden lair leaving the White House to his betters, or even better, he will run to his pal Vlad Putin.
No, my friends and readers, Trump is fighting, not running, but things take time. It is not easy to change the paradigm, and the odds were heavily slanted against Trump from step one. Still, he got this far, and he will go on. Stubborn guy, and he perseveres. The corrupt judges chain his hands; the CIA and NSA reveal his moves to the NYT, CNN, NBC; but he stands up, ready to carry the fight to his – and American people’s – enemy, the hydra of so many triple-letter heads.
There are sprinters who want to see victory right away, and they despair at the first setback. A power-intoxicated judge opens America’s gates for the ISIS advance troops, voiding a very moderate and sensible executive order, and they wring their hands. Terrible, but what could Trump do? To do nothing because his order would be overturned? He had to try, so the people will see and judge the judges. Line the judges up against the (Mexican border) wall at sunrise? He can’t do it yet, though it would make sense.
Flynn had to leave, and they exclaim: all is lost. It would be bad indeed, if Trump were to take it lying down, but he did not. At a very public and well-covered press-conference with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Trump said: “Michael Flynn, General Flynn is a wonderful man. I think he’s been treated very, very unfairly by the media — as I call it, the fake media. It’s very, very unfair what’s happened to General Flynn, the way he was treated, and the documents and papers that were illegally — I stress that — illegally leaked. Very, very unfair.” These are fighting words, of a man who lost a battle, or a skirmish, but he still fights the war.

Cowboy Kali Yuga: A Review of “Hell or High Water”

Neo-Westerns are the rough terrain that remain untamed and unclaimed by the heebs. Political Correctness does not sell here. Any feminist watching one would go into conniptions from their “toxic masculinity.” The men have guns and the women have curves. No one trusts the bank and everybody owes.
Hell or High Water is a tale of poor Southern White folks — Texans to be specific — suffering at the hands of usurious banksters who want to seize the land these people raised their kids on as the shylock’s pound of flesh. It’s not the protagonists that I’m referring to as “these people.” It’s the supporting cast. This is a film that excels at capturing the atmosphere of a place passing through the sieve of time. The quality of character that made the land, its sky above, and the people between so very great are being filtered out by modernity. The modern world is robbing Texas towns of their soul and the soil of its blood. In Hell or High Water we see the sovereign Lone Star demoted to one more vassal state in Weimerica.
I’ll tell it to you straight.: We’ve got us here a story you’ve all heard before. Two cow-pokes-turned-bank-robbers. Two Texas Rangers trying to out-think and out-maneuver them into the reach of the long arm of the law. That said, the story could take place over a century and a half ago. But this is a tale of the here and now in the dismal financial fallout of Obama’s America — and the desperation of much of White America.

Billboard in 83% Black Detroit Warns: "Black People are Being Pushed out of Detroit" via Gentrification

A lot is being made of "Detroit's rebirth."

No one, of course, ever asks why the city needs to be reborn and what natural disaster killedThe Paris of the West, because the answer is obviously black people (almost every person in America instantly retreats from uttering the cause of death from Detroit, gripped in self-imposed intellectual paralysis when confronted with obvious racial realities).

To put bluntly, 100 years ago, Detroit was almost 100 percent white. Today, Detroit is less than seven percent white. Any conversation about why Detroit died must acknowledge the prior sentences veracity or else it will be descend into fiction and farce when trying to determine reasons for the collapse of the Arsenal of Democracy

Know this: Dan Gilbert, who relocated the headquarters of Quicken Loans to Detroit, employs a private security force to keep his employees safe and massive security measures of more than 500 cameras to protect not just private property but the lives of those who work for him. He has erected a police state to give white people a sense of security in a sea of insecurity, crime and misery created (and tolerated, since black crime keeps white people from living in the city) by blacks.

In the absence of civilization - Detroit is 83 percent black - extreme measures must be enacted for those white pioneers trying to carve out hope, stability and a future from the vast wilderness of a failed experiment in equality.

All around the blight, decay and ruin of Detroit are reminders of the civilization white people long ago built and abandoned once black crime became intolerance and blacks demographically eclipsed whites and the population pressure exerted by this change made black political rule inevitable.

INTERVIEW Richard Spencer’s Interview with Europe Maxima

This interview about Donald Trump, the question of identity, geopolitics, Islam, and other issues originally appeared in a French publication Europe Maxima. Richard was interviewed by Thierry Durolle.
Europe Maxima: First and foremost, thank you for answering my questions. To begin this interview, could you introduce yourself and the National Policy Institute to our readers?
Richard Spencer: The National Policy Institute is an independent non-profit think tank dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future of people of European descent in the United States and around the world. I am the President and Director of The National Policy Institute and Washington Summit Publishers. I am also the founder and Editor of Radix Journal, RadixJournal.com, and a co-founder of the recently-launched AltRight.com.
Europe Maxima: You are considered by the media as a kind of showcase or spokesman of the now-famous Alt Right. We know that the Alt Right is more of a nebula of different tendencies rather than a homogeneous movement. Where do you fit in this Alt-Right nebula?
Richard Spencer: I coined the term “alternative Right” in 2008 in order to differentiate myself from the failures of mainstream American conservatism. I saw the latter as a purely reactive form, seeking to preserve the status quo as opposed to focusing on passing down key aspects of our ancestral traditions to future generations. I have been referred to as the intellectual vanguard of this movement.
Today, Alt Right is, indeed, an umbrella term to describe those seeking the way out of Liberal Postmodernity dominating the United States and Europe through various means: culturally, socially, politically. Alt Right’s current diversity is a natural state in its early stages of development, as we consolidate our message and improve our communication with likeminded counterparts outside the U.S.

The Vengeance of Edward Said - Steve Sailer

Contemporary white progressives cater to the most regressive tendencies of the various Others.
Anybody who can get themselves classified as an official Other-American is today repeatedly encouraged to play the race card, the religion card, or the sex card in the most intellectually crude, bigoted manner possible. Open-mindedness is only an obligation for American-Americans.
You can see it in the Establishment’s hunt for ever more Other Others, such as the transgendered and Muslims. A few years ago, for example, Mexicans were the great beige hope of the Establishment. Yet you’ll notice that Mexicans have proved disappointing and been displaced by Muslims in the elite’s dreams of demographic avengers.
Mexicans may be kind of backward when it comes to education, television, and safety (I call them Extreme Texans), but they just don’t have the energy or ideology to hate average white Americans enough for our ruling class’ tastes.
