Rock & Roll Reversal by Steve Sailer

The much-discussed death of Prince last week brings up an old question: Why do pop stars tend to be rather fey?
Granted, using Prince as an example of any statistical pattern is a dubious enterprise. Prince went through life as a sample size of one. An odd duck who awkwardly combined feminine tastes in clothes with masculine traits such as his love of the electric guitar and a Donald Trump-size sense of confidence in his own musical abilities and (less justified) his own peculiar stylistic tastes, he was almost never the universally respected figure that so much of his postmortem press implies.
Prince was always, though, a tremendous musician, recognized by age 21 as the most broadly gifted American star since Stevie Wonder. And yet he only enjoyed a single year of non-ironic mass adulation, when he briefly succeeded Michael Jackson on the pop throne with his Purple Rain album and movie in 1984. But his my-way-or-the-highway approach to everything left him a bit of a figure of fun.
Rock stars come from the intersection of a Venn diagram of musicians and people who very much want the spotlight.

One in six BBC stars 'must be gay or lesbian or disabled' by 2020 says new staff-hiring guidelines at the corporation

One in six of all on-screen BBC roles must go to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender or disabled people by 2020, the corporation's new diversity targets state.
In a bid to deter criticism that it has been failing to reflect its audience, the BBC has pledged that LGBT and disabled people will each make up eight per cent of all on-air and on-screen roles.
The new targets follow a heated debate in the House of Commons led by David Lammy MP on the issue of the broadcaster's diversity.

Fifty per cent of all on-screen and broadcasting roles will go to women, who already make up 48.5 per cent of the BBC's total workforce.
However, the BBC will still be able to commission shows where the main roles are more likely to be male-dominated.

Cleaning Up Hillary’s Libyan Mess By Robert Parry

Hillary Clinton’s signature project as Secretary of State – the “regime change” in Libya – is now sliding from the tragic to the tragicomic as her successors in the Obama administration adopt increasingly desperate strategies for imposing some kind of order on the once-prosperous North African country torn by civil war since Clinton pushed for the overthrow and murder of longtime Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
The problem that Clinton did much to create has grown more dangerous since Islamic State terrorists have gained a foothold in Sirte and begun their characteristic beheading of “infidels” as well as their plotting for terror attacks in nearby Europe.
There is also desperation among some Obama administration officials because the worsening Libyan fiasco threatens to undermine not only President Barack Obama’s legacy but Clinton’s drive for the Democratic presidential nomination and then the White House. So, the officials felt they had no choice but to throw caution to the wind or — to mix metaphors — some Hail Mary passes.
The latest daring move was a sea landing in Tripoli by the U.S./U.N-formulated “unity government,” which was cobbled together by Western officials in hotel rooms in Morocco and Tunisia. But instead of “unity,” the arrival by sea threatened to bring more disunity and war by seeking to muscle aside two rival governments.
The sea landing at a naval base in Tripoli became necessary because one of those rival governments refused to let the “unity” officials fly into Libya’s capital. So, instead, the “unity” leaders entered Libya by boat from Tunisia and are currently operating from the naval base where they landed.

A Path Through The Ruins

If this blog has a dominant theory, it is The enemy is us, in recognition of the fact that human groups tend toward entropy. Without intervention by the few among us who possess leadership ability, people follow individual paths that lead nowhere and generate social chaos.
In contrast, history teaches us a binary: true and not-true. Some methods of civilization work; others do not. Civilization is all; the individual without civilization has few options. Not surprisingly, most human fantasies involve being free of the burden of civilizational upkeep.
These fantasies started with the idea of equality, or that we do not need talented leaders, only rules on paper to make the average person into a responsible leader. This inept form of government then approved the next popular desire, which was that society should subsidize every person just for being human.
This leads us to the present. We have combined capitalism ingenuity with Socialist benefits to create the final state of liberal democracy: an egalitarian system in which all are safe, and all are miserable. Existential misery has risen to the level that few people are reproducing and most are miserable and destructive at the family level.

Syria crisis death toll stands at 400,000: UN Envoy

UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura gestures during a press briefing at the UN Office in Geneva, Switzerland, April 22, 2016. ©AFP

The United Nations special envoy for Syria says some 400,000 people have lost their lives as a result of more than five years of foreign-sponsored conflict gripping the Arab country.
Speaking on the sidelines of Syria peace talks in the Swiss city of Geneva on Friday, Staffan de Mistura said the figure was based on his “own analysis” and thus “not verified.”
He initially released the death toll in an interview with Swiss TV on Thursday.
De Mistura’s figures come while the UN has stopped officially counting the toll, citing lack of access to accurate data.
“We had 250,000 as a figure two years ago,” said de Mistura, adding, “Well two years ago was two years ago.”
The UN envoy’s figure was close to a February calculation by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, which said the crisis in the Middle Eastern state has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. Damascus says Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar are the main supporters of the militants fighting the government forces.

World War III Has Begun — Paul Craig Roberts

The Third World War is currently being fought. How long before it moves into its hot stage?
Washington is currently conducting economic and propaganda warfare against four members of the five bloc group of countries known as BRICS—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Brazil and South Africa are being destabilized with fabricated political scandals. Both countries are rife with Washington-financed politicians and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Washington concocts a scandal, sends its political agents into action demanding action against the government and its NGOs into the streets in protests.
Washington tried this against China with the orchestrated Hong Kong “student protest.” Washington hoped that the protest would spread into China, but the scheme failed. Washington tried this against Russia with the orchestrated protests against Putin’s reelection and failed again.
To destablilze Russia, Washington needs a firmer hold inside Russia. In order to gain a firmer hold, Washington worked with the New York mega-banks and the Saudis to drive down the oil price from over $100 per barrel to $30. This has put pressure on Russian finances and the ruble. In response to Russia’s budgetary needs, Washington’s allies inside Russia are pushing President Putin to privatize important Russian economic sectors in order to raise foreign capital to cover the budget deficit and support the ruble. If Putin gives in, important Russian assets will move from Russian control to Washington’s control.

America Has Become More Depressed and More Suicidal

Seven years of Barack Obama’s bright and cheery optimism and America is suffering from despair. The president and his flunkies assure us that things are great. The economy has recovered; unemployment is low; the stock market is high; everyone has health insurance; black lives matter; white privilege has been diminished; we have declared war on climate change.

No one much cares about winning wars. We now care that the military is politically correct. No one much cares about growing the economy. We now care about social justice. We are not debating tax policy. We are mired in a public discussion about transgendered restrooms.

For those who believe the goals are not incompatible, the evidence says otherwise.

However good the Obamaphile media thinks the country is doing, a closer look at the American psyche tells a different story. Suicide rates have not quite reached 1932 levels but they have been going up.

For most of America the Obama recovery has been a mirage. The rich have gotten richer while the rest have languished. The middle class has been hit the hardest. More and more people have fallen out of the middle class and are just scraping by… if that.

The good economic news seems more to have been produced by the Federal Reserve. Moneyprinting has enriched a precious few while economic policy has left the rest behind.

In a self-pitying essay for The Atlantic Neal Gabler recently described his own financial problems. Perhaps it’s a symptom of our times that writers are obliged to write about their penurious circumstances and their financial mismanagement, but one would have preferred that he had been more discreet. To be fair, more discreet means fewer readers and lower fees. In our culture, exhibitionism pays. Surely, this fact contributes to the general despondency.

Americans are living through a period of economic decline. Beyond the misery lie the statistics. The one that stands out, to Gabler and to us is this: How many Americans have enough emergency funds on hand to pay for an unexpected $400 expense?

Trump's Not Our Guy. It's Time to Stop Pretending Otherwise.

Since summer of last year, the alt-right has been in awe of Donald Trump’s presidential run, which has taken on both the left and the cuckservative elite. But is Donald Trump honest about his positions or does he simply “want the deal,” meaning he tells voters what they want to hear and he gets to sit in the Oval Office? Before you say to yourself, “He’s not Hitler 2.0, but he’ll do a lot of a good nonetheless,” and click off the article, let’s have a look at Trump’s political history and connections to get a clearer view of his character.
A cursory look at Trump’s past clearly shows that he is not a conservative, not in its legitimate patriotic sense nor in the modern cuckservative sense. Trump was a registered Democrat until 1987 when he switched to the Republican party and stayed there until 1999, at which point he joined Ross Perot’s populist Reform Party. Trump left the party in 2001 due to his distaste over the presence of White nationalist David Duke, communist Lenora Fulani, and paleoconservative Pat Buchanan. Obviously Trump lied over not knowing who David Duke was earlier this year. He was also particularly critical of Buchanan, stating...:
I really believe the Republicans are just too crazy right… Look, he's a Hitler lover…I guess he's an anti-Semite… He doesn't like the blacks. He doesn't like the gays… It's just incredible that anybody could embrace this guy.
...as well as:
In spite of this, it’s possible that Trump’s views have shifted drastically in the past decade or so, particularly due to the election of Barack Obama, an event that woke up many White Americans for obvious reasons. But what evidence is there that Trump is any better on domestic racial issues than the average cuckservative? Trump has given mixed signals on H1B visas and there is apparently a recorded interview he did with (((The New York Times))) in which he stated that he was willing to relax his views regarding deportations upon being elected. Trump has so far refused to release the tape, a decision which should be cause for concern for anyone who’s supporting him for his stance on illegal immigration.

Has history proved Eysenck right about genes and IQ?

Hans J. Eysenck, one of the most famous and infuriating British psychologists of the 20th century, would have been 100 years old this month. While Eysenck pioneered behaviour therapy (paving the way for the acceptance of cognitive behavioural therapy) and argued for the necessity of evidence-based medicine and meta-analysis, in later years his reputation was eroded by his hugely controversial writings on race and IQ and his largely unproductive forays into astrology, and research on smoking.
Eysenck’s thoughts on IQ and genetics were also hugely unpopular. He argued that general intelligence (a broad measure of mental capacity) had a genetic basis, which is associated with a wide variety of life outcomes, including socioeconomic difference. When coupled with the race-IQ controversy, all of this was explosive stuff and Eysenck was regularly criticised for his views and even, on one occasion, physically attacked. In 1973, a female protester punched him in the face at a London School of Economics event.
Eysenck believed that intelligence was the most important concept in social sciences. So it’s no surprise that this topic book-ended his scientific career: IQ was the focus of his first scientific paper in the late 1930s and his last book, Genius, in the late 1990s. However, a hundred years on from his birth, now is a good time to ask whether he was right about this particular point after all.
The latest evidence
In a recent paper, Hagenaars and colleagues reported on a study of over 100,000 people showing that there are shared genetic influences on intelligence, a range of diseases (including coronary artery disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, autism and depression), as well as body mass index, infant head circumference and brain size.
These findings point to “pleiotropic” effects, that is, when one gene influences two or more seemingly unrelated traits. In this case, cognitive function, physical health and psychiatric disorders.
In this study, intelligence was measured in three ways: by verbal numerical reasoning, memory and speed of reactions. These have little or nothing to do with traditional “book learning” measures of intelligence. Being good at cognitive tests is associated with many lifelong benefits.
These results support previous findings which show that being smarter is positively associated with greater longevity and negatively associated with many disease risk factors (such as high blood-pressure). It is also related to lower levels of physical illness and lower levels of some psychiatric disorders. The reasons for these associations remain unclear, but now the pieces of the jigsaw are starting to fall into place.

RACE and IQ RELATED GENES by Sean Last

Summary: Over the past 5 years, a variety of specific genes have been shown to influence IQ. Versions of these genes which lead to higher intelligence are consistently found to be more common in Whites than in Blacks. The difference between Asians and Whites is less clear. The consistency of these findings, which have been replicated across two genetic databases, makes an egalitarian view of racial intelligence differences implausible. This research also suggests that selection, instead of genetic drift, causes racial intelligence differences because IQ-related genes are more racially differentiated than most genes are. In fact, they are more racially differentiated than height related genes are, suggesting that selection for racial intelligence differences was stronger than selection for racial height differences.
When I first started looking into race realism, no one had any idea what specific genes might explain racial differences in intelligence. Happily, that situation is changing. A ground breaking 2015 paper by David Piffer of the Ulster Institute for Social Research looked at population level differences in the frequency of all 9 gene variants which, as of July 2015, had been reliably associated with intelligence. This post will describe that paper.
1. IQ-related Genes
To begin with, let’s look at how these 9 genetic variants, called SNPs, were shown to relate to IQ. These SNPs were studies across 7 studies, each of which is described below:
Reitvald et al (2013) measured two phenotypes. The first, years of education completed, had a discovery sample size of 101,069. The second, a binary variable measuring whether or not the person has completed college, had a sample size of 95,427. Both samples only included Whites. 3 SNPs were found to predict both phenotypes in the discovery and replication samples. These three SNPs explained .022% of educational variance. Each SNP was associated with an extra month of education and a 1.8% increase in the chance of completing college.
Ward (2014) had a sample of 5,979 individuals, who were genotyped and took an English SAT test, while 6,145 were genotyped and took a math SAT. The participants were between 13 and 14 years old. All participants were White and 4 principal components of SNP co-variance were extracted. The top 3 SNPs identified with Rietvald et al (2013) were found to significantly predict SAT scores. Each allele was associated with an average increase of .041 standard deviations in English scores and .028 standard deviations increase in math scores.
Reitvald et al (2014) involved three samples. One contained 107,736 individuals and measured educational attainment. Another contained 24,189 individual and measured general intelligence. A third sample contained 8,652 old individuals for whom dementia and memory was measured. It found three SNPs associated with educational attainment which were also found, in a separate sample, to be associated with intelligence. Each SNP predicted an increase of 0.3 IQ points. However, one of these SNPs was highly correlated with other SNPs in this analysis and was therefore dropped.
Davies et al (2015) utilized three samples (Ns= 53,949, 5,976, and 5,487) which were genotyped and had their general intelligence measured. All participants were White, sex was controlled for, and 4 principal components of SNP co-variance were extracted. 13 SNPs were found to predict cognitive ability at P<.0000001. These SNPs were spread across three chromosome regions. The top three SNPs, one from each region, explained between .19% and 1.27% of intelligence variance in the replication samples. These three SNPs were used in Piffer’s analysis.
Ibrahim-Verbaas (2015) utilized 40 samples. 20 of them were involved in the discovery phase and ranged in size from 5,429 to 32,070. The other 20 were used as replication samples and ranged in size from 1,311 to 21,860. The phenotypes looked at were executive functioning and processing speed. Each sample was entirely made of one race, however, some were all Black and others were all White. One SNP, rs17518584, was found to be a significant and replicated predictor.

Three German Cities to Tip Nonwhite

Mass Third World immigration to Germany will “soon” cause the three German cities of Augsburg, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt to tip into majority nonwhite status, one of that country’s most prominent demographers has announced.
Speaking in an interview in the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper, “integration expert” Jens Schneider said that Augsburg will be one of the “first major German cities where people with a migration background will form the majority population.”
Augsburg
The interview revealed that official statistics already show that “one in five” (that is, 20 percent) of people living in Germany “have foreign roots.”
This is especially so in urban areas, Schneider said, where the proportion of “people with an immigrant background” rises exponentially.
“Experts believe that Augsburg, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt are the first cities in which immigrants will become the majority,” he added.
More than half of these “foreigners” are already in possession of German nationality, Schneider continued, which means that “integration is therefore going to be the biggest challenge in coming years.”
This means that the “country is going to change,” Schneider, who is in favor of the invasion, said.

Madeleine Albright outraged about Putin's smart moves

Madeleine Albright outraged about Putin's smart moves. 57819.jpeg

Madeleine Albright, former US Secretary of State, a member of Hillary Clinton's staff, has showed her attitude to Russia yet again. This time, the politician, who is also known as the "Butcher of Serbia," said that Russia was "Bangladesh with missiles."
The infamous old lady, in an interview with Die Presse, said that she was very much annoyed with the fact that experts, journalists and politicians all over the world say that they understand Russia's motives.
Albright is also outraged with Putin's daring moves to squeeze NATO out of Russia's zone of influence. According to her, Putin splits the European Union with his counter sanctions and political statements.
At the same time, Albright described Putin as "a very smart man, very clear about what he wants." According to her, he is very good at playing bad cards. She also believes that Russia should not have been forgiven for reuniting with Crimea. Russia managed to get away with it, she said, adding that one should have never let this happen. Noteworthy, in the past, Albright wanted to bomb other countries for much smaller "sins" to the United States.

Madeleine Albright appeared in the world of big politics in 1993, when she became a US permanent representative to the UN. She was reputed to be not just a hawk, but a super hawk, for bombing Bosnian and Croatian Serbs. In addition, Albright had pressed for severe sanctions against Iraq that had killed half a million children. "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price - we think that it was worth it," she stated arrogantly.
In 1997, Albright became the first woman to take the post of the US Secretary of State. She was a supporter of tough policies in international relations, including the use of military force that everyone could see in the bombings of the Balkans.

Mission Creep: Baghdad After the Fall of Saddam Hussein by PATRICK COCKBURN

There used to be a mosaic of President George HW Bush on the floor at the entrance to the al-Rashid Hotel in Baghdad. It was placed there soon after the first Gulf War in 1991 and was a good likeness, though the artist gave Bush unnaturally jagged teeth and a slightly sinister grimace. The idea was that nobody would be able to get into the hotel, where most foreign visitors to Iraq stayed in the 1990s, without stepping on Bush’s face. The mosaic did not long survive the capture of the city on 9 April 2003 and the takeover of the al-Rashid by US officials and soldiers. One American officer, patriotically determined not to place his foot on Bush’s features, tried to step over the mosaic. The distance was too great. He strained his groin and had to be hospitalised. The mosaic was removed.
Almost all of the thousands of pictures of Saddam Hussein that used to line every main street in Baghdad have gone, though for some reason the one outside the burned-out remains of the old Mukhabarat (Intelligence) headquarters survives. My favourite was straight out of The Sound of Music: it showed Saddam on an Alpine hillside, wearing a tweed jacket, carrying an alpenstock and bending down to sniff a blue flower.
Other equally peculiar signs of Saddam’s presence remain. The Iraqi Natural History Museum was thoroughly ransacked by looters, who even decapitated the dinosaur in the forecourt. In the middle of one large ground-floor gallery, almost the only exhibit still intact is a stuffed white horse that, when living, belonged to Saddam. Wahad Adnan Mahmoud, a painter who also looks after the gallery, told me the horse had been given to the Iraqi leader in 1986 by the King of Morocco. The King had sent a message along with it saying he hoped that Saddam would ride the horse through the streets of Baghdad when Iraq won its war with Iran. Before this could happen, however, a dog bit the horse and it died. Saddam issued a Republican Decree ordering the dog to be executed.
“I don’t know why the looters didn’t take the horse — they took everything else,” complained Mahmoud, who was in the wreckage of his office painting a picture of Baghdad in flames. “It isn’t even stuffed very well.” The horse, he added, was not the only dead animal that had been sent from Saddam’s Republican Palace to be stuffed by the museum. One day an official from the palace had arrived with a dead dolphin in the back of a truck. He said the leader wanted it stuffed. The museum staff protested that this was impossible because a dolphin’s skin contained too much oil. Mahmoud laughed as he remembered the terrified expression on the official’s face when told that Saddam’s order could not be obeyed.
Saddam had three enthusiasms in the 1990s, two of which still affect the appearance of Baghdad. Soon after 1991 defeat in Kuwait, he started obsessively building palaces for himself and his family. None of these is likely to be knocked down since they now serve as bases for the US army and the Coalition Provisional Authority . Paul Bremer, the head of the CPA, has his headquarters in the enormous Republican Palace beside the Tigris, where he and his staff live in an isolation comparable to Saddam’s. Then, in the mid-1990s, Saddam began to build enormous mosques, the largest of which, the Mother of Battles mosque at the old Muthana municipal airport, was only beginning to rise from its foundations when the regime collapsed.
Saddam’s third craze, beginning about three years ago, was more surprising. He started to write novels. He dictated them to his secretaries and they were published anonymously in cheap editions, but Iraqis were left in no doubt as to the author. The critical response was adulatory, the print runs enormous. After the fall of Baghdad, documents were found in the Mukhabarat headquarters instructing agents to buy the books and get their contacts to do the same. Copies of his most recent novel, The Impregnable Fortress, as well as an earlier volume called Zabiba and the King, are still for sale in the Friday book market on al-Mutanabbi Street.

The San Fran Whitening Plan by Steve Sailer

The city of San Francisco has become a notoriously unaffordable place to live. Two-bedroom apartments in San Francisco currently average $4,126 per month, up from $1,840 in 2009. To buy a three-bedroom home would run you $1,612,500.
With San Francisco being one of the epicenters of the environmental movement of the past half century, local homeowners are adept at using progressive verbiage for justifying keeping San Francisco in stasis. As a conservative, I rather admire the cleverness with which liberals have contrived to keep San Francisco physically looking much like it did in the past.
The situation has gotten so bad for young renters that San Francisco now even numbers among its myriad activist groups a pro-capitalist one—the Bay Area Renters Federation, or BARF—that proposes that developers be allowed to develop.
This is part of an increasing national push to allow more construction in already dense big cities. That’s probably a good idea, but it’s worth explaining in honest language what’s actually going on in San Francisco. Normally, much of the debate over real estate policy in San Francisco, which voted for Obama over Romney by an 84–13 margin, is conducted in the intentionally obscurantist antiwhite rhetoric of our times, with frequent denunciations of “bros.”

The War You Don't See

'The War You Don't See' (2011) is a powerful and timely investigation into the media's role in war, tracing the history of 'embedded' and independent reporting from the carnage of World War One to the destruction of Hiroshima, and from the invasion of Vietnam to the current war in Afghanistan and disaster in Iraq. As weapons and propaganda become even more sophisticated, the nature of war is developing into an 'electronic battlefield' in which journalists play a key role, and civilians are the victims. But who is the real enemy?

John Pilger says in the film: "We journalists... have to be brave enough to defy those who seek our collusion in selling their latest bloody adventure in someone else's country... That means always challenging the official story, however patriotic that story may appear, however seductive and insidious it is. For propaganda relies on us in the media to aim its deceptions not at a far away country but at you at home... In this age of endless imperial war, the lives of countless men, women and children depend on the truth or their blood is on us... Those whose job it is to keep the record straight ought to be the voice of people, not power."

Are 1 in 5 Women Raped at College?

General Vo Nguyen Giap: How I Won The Vietnam War

giap1
Vo Nguyen Giap (1911-2013) was the architect of the Vietnamese victory in the “Second Indo-China War” (called in the United States the “Vietnam War”), which took place from 1960 to 1975.  He must also be credited with winning the “First Indo-China War,” which was waged against the French from 1946 to 1954.  He proved to be a master of both conventional and guerrilla tactics, and displayed an incredible single-mindedness and foresight in pursuing his objectives to ultimate victory.
By any objective measure, he must be counted among the greatest generals of the twentieth century.  When we consider the length of time he conducted operations, how much he accomplished with so little assistance, and his ruthless implementation of insurgent doctrine, we cannot help but amazed at his accomplishments.
He did not come from a military background.  Indeed, he was almost entirely self-taught in military affairs, and perhaps it was this freedom from the straight-jacket of staff colleges and military academies that enabled him to think differently from his contemporaries.  He was motivated and disciplined, and that was enough.
His early life experiences had burned a lasting hatred in his breast against colonialism and its symbols:  while still a child, both his nationalist father and his sister died as a result of imprisonment by the French colonial authorities.  He tried to secure a career as an attorney but, failing the examinations, he had to settle for teaching history.  In the turbulence of post-World War southeast Asia, he rose to prominence in the Vietnamese Communist Party, which soon began to agitate for an independent, unified Vietnamese state.
He built the Vietnamese Army from basically nothing.  His victory over the French at Dien Bien Phu is well-known, as is his prosecution of the war against the Americans to a successful conclusion in 1975.  These details need not detain us here.

Why Are Sluts And Studs Different? by Kyle Trouble

What is a slut, what is a stud—and why are they different? Why can’t a girl who is promiscuous be revered as an accomplished individual like a guy is? Women get angry at these “double standards.”
It’s a simple strategy when you start to think of the dynamics: women need a fallback to catch them once they have finished up their slutty, carousel-riding adventures during their 20s. As the end of their 20s approach, they’re running head-on into their 30s, as ugly and unwanted as they have ever been to that point in their life.
Here are four common points regarding why girls constantly argue that sluts and studs are equal, and what you must be aware of as a man.

The Skill Required

I have a phrase I like to throw around: “A woman saying she can get sex is like me saying I can buy a girl dinner.”
While it’s an extreme example, it wouldn’t be difficult at all for me to buy a girl dinner every night of the week if I so wished. Likewise, a girl could easily go out to a bar every night of the week, and take someone home each night to have sex with her. Of course, no man wants to buy seven different girls dinner throughout the week, just as most girls would feel slutty or ashamed about having their own “perfect week.”
The reason for this is simply the levels of skill. It takes no skill or charm for a girl to get laid every night of the week. The level of thirst in today’s world is extreme, and makes it easy for them to get laid. On the other hand, for a man to have banged seven girls in seven days would take an enormous amount of skill, tolerance for rejection, and a bit of luck.

Civil Rights for the Transgendered

When did America cease to be a serious country? When did the world start looking down at us rather than up to us?

It may have been when the current president decided to prostrate himself before the rest of the world. But it might also have been when the nation got caught up in a debate about gendered restrooms. Our young generation might not be able to compete in math and language skills against their peers around the world but they will go to the barricades to ensure that Jim can pee in the ladies room.

The world is engaged by questions of Islamist terrorism, questions of mass migration, questions of nuclear proliferation,  questions about economic growth and foreign policy. America has gone into high dudgeon over gendered restrooms.

The state of North Carolina set off a firestorm by mandating that individuals were obliged to use restrooms that correlated with their at-birth gender. If you were born male and decide tomorrow that you are female or neither, you will still be obliged to use the male restroom. Apparently, this is an unspeakable indignity.

Most especially, the state has forbid local governments from passing laws that allow people to use the restroom most suitable to their self-selected gender.

The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo is so offended by the North Carolina law that he has banned New York officials from traveling to the state on non-essential business. Washington and Vermont have done the same. Production companies have threatened to stop filming in the state.
